Snack Snitch: Who Ate All the Cookie Dough? by Karen Beaumont

EENY MEENY MINEY MOE!

WHO ATE ALL THE COOKIE DOUGH?

Mama Kanga's in the kitchen, apron on and wooden spoon at the ready, but things are not going well! Like a good mom, she's mixing up a batch of goodies for her little ones and friends. Her bowl was full just a moment ago, and now--ALL the cookie dough is missing!

Who can be the malefactor who can make off with a ball of dough right from under her eyes?

Lion claims innocence, and passes the buck to Zebra. Zebra says "Maybe Cheetah?" Cheetah points to Hippo as the possible suspect, but Hippo is sure it must be Monkey. Monkey demurs, but an irrepressible "Tee Hee" suggests that he knows something Mama Kanga doesn't!

WHO ATE ALL THE COOKIE DOUGH?

DOESN'T ANYBODY KNOW?

Mama needs to look under her own nose. Well, maybe a little lower--under her own apron, actually. Concealed under her cleverly constructed apron flap, there is an opportunistic little perpetrator who, right from Mama's pouch, has managed to purloin all the cookie dough. With his big red spoon in hand, little Joey pops up with a cheery (and well-fed) BOO!

Karen Beaumont's and Eugene Yelchin's Who Ate All the Cookie Dough? is a sweet treat for preschoolers who love a tasty surprise and for moms who love to get the credit for stirring them up.
