A Very "Moving" Christmas: A Magical Christmas (A Moving Pictures Book)

Mater always believed in Santa Car, but he never dreamed that on Christmas Eve, he'd get to help Santa Car deliver presents!

But thanks to the old-but-new technique of the "lenticular storybook," Disney's new A Magical Christmas (Disney Enterprises, 2011) allows young fans to fly with Santa and his new elf "Mater" to deliver gifts to all the best-loved cartoon movie characters. Santa hitches our racing hero up to his "sleigh" and the two pay visits to Lady and the Tramp and their new pups, Nemo and his dad, Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Louie, and Dewey, Ariel and Eric (in her first dry-land Christmas), Tiny Tim and all the Crachits, the beauteous Belle and the Beast, and the far-out Wall-E and Eva and their best bot buddies.

The "lenticular moving pictures" are in full color and quite well done as large insets into each double-page spread, with action scenes from the well-known stories, set in motion by turning or moving the pages. For little fans of the Disney classics, this holiday tie-in provides a lot of fun with the familiar Disney figures.
