Back in the age of poor Dick and Jane and Alice and Jerry, if the author of their primer readers wanted them to "see Spot" or "see Jip," they had no choice. And the illustrators of their first reader series cooperated with the authors. If they wanted readers to see Spot or Jip, well, by George, there he was on the facing page. Now in these days of bossy metafiction characters, they think they run the show!
CHAPTER ONE: SEE THE CAT!
I AM NOT A CAT. I AM A DOG!
No matter how determined the author of this "see and say" primer is at describing the putative cat, the actual character maintains that he is a dog. However, although the book's narrator maintains that he is a blue cat in a green dress with the silly name of Baby Cakes, riding on the back of a pink unicorn, he maintains his dogdom.
I AM MAX, A DOG!
Surprisingly, a pink unicorn with a blue cat gallops across the putative page. Now Max's face is red with embarrassment. It gets worse.
CHAPTER II: SEE THE SNAKE!
HERE WE GO AGAIN!Max leaps up from his trusty rug, only to find a snake underneath, a very mad snake at that! Two can play at this metaphysical plotting. Max re-edits the text to read ...
"THE MAD SNAKE IS NOT GOING TO BITE THE DOG!"Close call! At least that's the end of Chapter II. WHEW!
CHAPTER III: SEE THE DOG!Having established his true species, Max is happy to stretch out on his rug and rest when the narrator announces . . .
"SEE THE DOG RUN AND JUMP AND . . . FLY! OR A HIPPO WILL SIT ON HIM!"No can do. SHEESH! Max has had it with this illogical and abhorrent authorhood! He's leaving this book now! And if he does. . .

Hello everyone! Ok…I’ll try to shorten this as best I can. After many years of marriage, I finally got divorced about three years ago. My ex-wife had major spending issues. In Oct-Nov I rented a storage unit from public storage with the intention of it being held for a month. In December I left for vacation. The situation changed during that time so I would need it for 3-4 months. My business partner assumed I had payments handled, I assumed it was handled or on autopay and everyone just forgot about this unit that I stupidly opened under my personal name. Account was never placed on autopay; the rep opened the account and put the wrong phone number when we signed up and all emails ended up in our assistant’s spam box. Long story short, the unit was auctioned and a couple hundred dollars’ worth of debt in fees etc. were accumulated besides the 2 months that were not paid. Public storage sold the debt to a collection agency (Allied Interstate) who told me I had until 2/14 to respond to DV. This situation caused damage to my score. My Fico 8’s was in the mid-500's and I do have some baddies (90 days on multiple student loans from 2018/2019) and a couple of charge offs from that same period but I don’t have any collection accounts. It’s been years since I’ve made a careless mistake like this, and I was really looking forward to getting my credit back to standard. I had a couple of things happen in 2021 that caused me to get extremely behind on several bills. I had about 3 credit cards end up in charge-off status. Only one of those cards was ever sent to collections and I have since paid this before the collection ever hit my credit. 2 of the cards were through Capital One. 1 of the 2 were sent to collections. The unpaid one has been referred to an attorney and kept in house, although I received documentation that the attorney was dropping the lawsuit against me. My credit was hovering at around a 620 Equifax FICO and a 618 Experian FICO. I had so many lates from these three accounts. This forum gave me some hope regarding PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST. The lots of debt on my credit report deprived me so some many opportunities. Long story short I had 14k in CC debt, 30k in student loan debt, not great. Have you guys ever checked out PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST? I’m knocking on my 30s doors (29y/o). I was obviously careless and irresponsible in my 20s but wanted to turn my ship around before my 30s.
