Baby Boos! Dora's Halloween Adventure by Sarah Willson
For fans of Dora the Explorer, this little board book is a no brainer.
Swiper, that kleptomaniac fox, has swiped Boots' candy, and Map sends Dora and Boots on a quest to find the Haunted House where they hope to find their lost treats. Along the way they follow clues leading to the treats concealed under the book's flaps, even doing a bit of matching when they encounter a goofy painted pumpkin patch.
At the Haunted House they find a costume party in progress, with all their favorite friends, (Benny, Tico, etc.) in disguise. Ah, but there's one telltale clue that leads them to the undercover Swiper, and beneath that flap is the red-tailed thief and Boots'lost candy.
Dora's many viewers will love to go out on Halloween with their favorite intrepid pathfinder, and despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that the story follows a predictable formula, Dora's Halloween Adventure
