Hold On! A Hug Is for Holding Me by Lisa Wheeler
Hugs are everywhere out there.
A flower bud,
can be a hug.
Come close and you will see.
Tight petals wrap the bloom inside.
Your hug feels safe to me.
In spring, cocoons hold their contents tight, until the time is right, and then the world is filled with wondrous and amazing flight!
Birds' eggs hold tight until the time is right for hatchlings to pop out. Seashells harbor life safe inside them, sheltered and snug. Nature holds its young ones tight.
And when a child gets a snug, safe hug, it's time to give one right back, in Lisa Wheeler's A Hug Is for Holding Me
